چکیده
Eight genotypes of greengram were collected in the present investigation from AICRP on MULLaRP, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV) and they characterized with ten quantitative, nineteen qualitative two biochemical parameters as per NBPGR descriptor. Grouping based DUS descriptors indicate existence genetic diversity within genotypes. These eight evaluated for 31 descriptors. However, 21 characters out differed significantly indicating a large exploitable amount variability individual elite improved line profile development identification protection. The lines are similar important plant traits like semi erect determinate growth habit but types is need hour indicates incorporation new germplasm improvement this trait material. Genotypes could be easily identified through some unique characters: SML-1822 amongst studied here its semi-erect habit, green stem colour purple shade, dark leaf colour, light yellow flower bearing pods below canopy; IPM-512-1 TMB-37 made seeds drum shape dull seed luster respectively; Pusa Vishal leaves along intermediate pod position larger size. Samrat having highest protein well carbohydrate content among these Thus, descriptor data generated profiles can used registration PPV & FRA purity testing.

Community Profiling of Culturable Fluorescent Pseudomonads in the Rhizosphere of Green Gram (Vigna radiata L.)
Study on microbial diversity in the unexplored rhizosphere is important to understand their community structure, biology and ecological interaction with the host plant. This research assessed the genetic and functional diversity of fluorescent pseudomonads [FP] in the green gram rhizophere. One hundred and twenty types of morphologically distinct fluorescent pseudomonads were isolated during ve...
متن کاملRegulation of urease in Bradyrhizobium colonizing green gram (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek).
In the present study attempts have been made to characterize urease expression in slow growing Bradyrhizobium strains TAL442 and MO5 which are endosymbionts of green gram (Vigna radiata (L.)Wilczek). It was found that urease activity in vegetative cells of both the strains was inducible unlike their fast growing counterparts. Mode of regulation in TAL442 was governed by presence of ammonia. Ure...
متن کاملGENETIC DIVESITY AND MOLECULAR CHARACTERIZATION OF MUNGBEAN GENOTYPES (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)
The present investigation was undertaken to examine the genetic divergence in 50 mungbean germplasm lines for 13 characters using Mahalanobis D statistics. The genotypes grouped into eight clusters. Cluster VII had maximum intra-cluster distance while inter-cluster distance was highest between clusters V and VII. Cluster means indicated that none of the clusters was superior for all the charact...
متن کاملSymbiotic effectiveness of bacteriocin producing and non-producing strains of Rhizobium in green gram (Vigna radiata).
Rhizobium strains nodulating green gram [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] were found to produce bacteriocin on modified Bergersen's medium and inhibited the growth of homologous Rhizobium strains. Four bacteriocin producing and four bacteriocin non-producing strains were compared for their effect on nodulation, in planta nitrogenase activity and plant dry weight of green gram. The bacteriocin produc...
متن کاملGrowth promotory potential of the cold adapted diazotroph Pseudomonas migulae S10724 against native green gram (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)
It is being confirmed previously the atmospheric nitrogen fixing ability of the cold adapted Pseudomonas migulae S10724 strain at the fluctuating temperatures. Therefore, net house bioinoculation experiment was performed to determine the effectiveness of inoculation of strain S10724 on the growth enhancement of native green gram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek). The strain significantly (p < 0.05) st...
